The Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business (CDSB) is pleased to offer Round 2 of the Secure Communities Partnerships Program.

📅Important dates

  • Applications open: 8:00 am, 12 November 2025
  • Applications close: 5:00 pm, 30 January 2025

⏳Before you begin

  • Set aside time: Completing the form takes about 1 hour.
  • Check eligibility: Read the Guidelines and Terms & Conditions carefully to ensure you meet the criteria.
  • Prepare attachments: Gather all required documents before starting your application.
  • Understand funding limits: Submitting an application does not guarantee funding.
  • Save your progress: Save your application and return to it at any time before the closing date.

🧭Navigating the application form

  • Use the menu on each page to jump to specific questions.
  • Click Next page or Previous page to move through the form.

🖥️Managing your application

  • Save often: Click Save as you progress; SmartyGrants won't save your progress automatically.
  • Need a break? Click Save and close to save your progress and log out.
  • Resume later: To resume, log back in and go to My Submissions.
  • Download your application: You can download your application as a PDF file at any time.
  • Collaborate with others: Share login details to allow multiple people to work on the same application. Only one person should edit at a time.

🔴Handling validation errors in your application

You may see red-highlighted validation errors as you complete the form. These errors appear when you:

  • Leave a mandatory field blank (this includes file uploads).
  • Enter letters into a numeric field.
  • Exceed the word limit for a question.

Fix errors by:

  • Finishing the page and clicking Save (try this first).
  • Reading the error message or hint carefully.
  • Updating the relevant question or section to fix the issue.

      ⚠️ Important: You cannot submit your application until you resolve all validation errors.

📤Submitting your application

  • Click Review and Submit to check your application for errors.
  • Complete all required fields and click Submit to send the completed application to CDSB
  • Check your email for a confirmation message with a copy of your application.

If you don’t receive a confirmation email:

  • Check your spam or junk folder.
  • If you still don’t find it, assume your application has not been submitted.

🖇️Attachments and supporting documents

  • Upload all required documents before submitting your application.
  • File size limits: Keep files under 25MB (recommended: 5MB for faster uploads).
  • Upload one file at a time and wait for each to finish before uploading the next.
