⚠️ Submission rules

  • Submit your application online through SmartyGrants with all required attachments.
  • Ensure the application is made by a Responsible Person directly linked to the business (not third parties).
  • Use the business's legal entity name (not the business name or trading name).
  • Submit only one application per business, related party, or financial beneficiary.
  • Provide realistic and accurate answers.
  • Respond to requests for additional information if assessors contact you.

ℹ️ Definitions

  • Responsible Person - Includes owners, business partners, directors, employees (manager or higher), trustees, public officers, office bearers or company secretaries of the business applying for the grant.
  • Third parties - Includes businesses,  financial advisors, accountants, or suppliers involved in the grant-funded activity.
  • Related party and/or financial beneficiary - Refers to individuals or entities that gain an advantage or profit from something, such as receiving or distributing funds from a trust, will or life insurance policy. This includes companies with common shareholdings, directors, employees, or immediate family members.
  • Legal entity - Refers to the company or sole trader listed on official records.
  • ABR - Australian Business Register, where you registered for your ABN.
  • ASIC - Australian Securities and Investments Commission, where you registered your company (if applicable) or business name.

Eligibility (Not Applicable)

Your business must meet the program's eligibility criteria and conditions to apply for this grant:

  • have less than 20 employees (by headcount🔺)🔹
  • have a turnover in the last financial year (2024-25) of $10 million or less
  • have been directly impacted by crime or operate in an area impacted by crime within the last five years
  • be operating and have an active ABN🔹
  • have a minimum trading history of 1 year
  • be registered for GST🔹(as per your ABR record)
  • have a registered Queensland headquarters location🔹(Main Business Location in QLD, as per your ABR record)
  • not be insolvent or have owners/directors who are currently bankrupt or undischarged from bankruptcy🔹
  • not be a subsidiary of a group of companies that has 20 or more employees in total🔹

🔺 Headcount includes all full-time, part-time and casual employees, but excludes business owners, non-executive directors and contractors.
▪️ Turnover means aggregated turnover as defined in the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997.
🔹 Your business must maintain this eligibility for the grant-funded project's duration.
